Some Like it Hot

Heading home to Santa Cruz, California in the next month to see friends and family after a year! I am really excited to see my amazing group of best friends, hug my mom and spend time with my dogs. I may not feel ready to head home permanently - much more traveling to be done - but I still get homesick for my favorite people, favorite restaurants, favorite walks and favorite adventures! As I get more ready AND excited for my visit home, I came across some photos of the things that I am looking forward to.

My blog, or journal as I like to call it, is a place where I collect and post the things that inspire me and make me happy. Unfortunately this week has not been of the most inspirational with the horrible news of what has happened in Masachusettes and also in Texas. I am online following what I can from Peru and technology today makes it easy enough for me to stay informed. When we are all human and of the same, it is so hard to understand how such terrible things can be done to one another. I am thinking of all the people who`s lives have been put in danger and who have been affected and stand behind the brave people putting and end to this.

 This week has been a little busy but also very productive. Last month I felt as though I could never focus at my desk and the time would fly by and I had accomplished absolutely nothing. This week in April however, has brought me back to a place where I am inspired to get my work done and see results. Working on the weekends means that I have Thursday and Friday off - even though it feels like the middle of the week right now, I remind myself that it is my Friday!

Plans for this weekend include cleaning the apartment, soaking up the last bit of summer sunshine in the southern hemisphere and exercising. So much good food this week, but of course, it must always be balanced out with a run. Plus it just gives me time to think and connect my mind and my body.

Quartz of Roses

  

 

 

Recently I have been drawn once again to my favorite stone, rose quartz. This stone is meant to generate universal love, bringing harmony to all relationships and balancing out emotions. I wont go into serious detail, but I recommend the gift of a rose quartz to anyone special and in any form. My first rose quart and favorite, is a simple stone given to me by a best friend and found in a small market. If you receive a rose quartz, wear it close to your heart for ultimate energy and magic.
